Marshall Acton II
$299.00
This is a brilliant Acton II wireless Bluetooth speaker with Alexa integrated voice command system for you to control it hands-free. This review will show you all the amazing benefits of this speaker.
This is the least expensive and smallest speaker with a weight of 4.5 pounds. You can connect your little music player to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3 5mm input, or RCA and let Alexa handle the rest with the Acton II app.
Although this device does not have a speakerphone and is not portable, it is well worth the price with its amazing, powerful, and adjustable bass and treble knobs. It gives an extraordinary audio experience with its dual tweeters powered by two 15 watt class d amplifiers and subwoofer powered by one 30 watt class D amplifier.
Description
Alexa Voice Assist
This is an Alexa assisted device that lets you voice control when you need it to turn on, off, pause, or play music.
Multi-Room Function
The Multi-Room app can be used to connect the Acton and its peers by leading to the Google Home app first which will immediately recognize the presence of the Acton and request a location.
Once the zone is labeled, the Google Home app connects to the Wi-Fi and initiates the latest firmware download. Once the set-up procedure is done, the casting tutorial step comes where it starts playing audio from your phone.
Battery life
It uses one lithium-ion battery and is not rechargeable.
Analog Controls
The design of the Anton II is quite classy with a grain leather patina which looks quite real covering the top and side panels. The top panel hosts a 3 5mm aux input, a shifting source button from aux to Bluetooth, a power switch, and a play or pause button. There are three knobs for volume, bass, and treble displayed in underlit LED notches.
Spotify Connect
You can control your speaker from your Spotify. Launch the app and play a song on your device, select your multi-room speaker in your “devices available” to play the music out loud.
To stream in multi-mode, click the single or multi-button on the speaker or set it on that mode from the app. Then select the group multi on your device.
Bluetooth Connection
Pull the source knob to the Bluetooth icon on the control panel and hold it for three seconds for the light to start blinking. Pair the speaker up to your device so the blinking becomes stable by selecting the Acton Multi-Room from the list.
This enables eight devices to be paired up with the speaker at a time. It automatically pairs up with the last device it was connected to the next time.
Sound Quality
This tiny music player has quite a loud voice for its size with a range of 50-20,000 Hz.
